Emerson Flying!!

On January 29th, 2013 - Today was the first day that Chuck put Emerson on his shoulders!! They had a great time flying!!

Exhausted After Auntie Devin's House!

On Jan uary 28th, 2013 - We picked up Emerson from a overnight stay at Auntie Devin's house.  He was totally exhausted!! Must have had an awesome time!!

Sits in Highchair for 1st Time

On January 27th, 2013 - Today was the first time Emerson sat in a high chair. His milestone was achieved at Auntie Devin's house. He played with his flower toy and watched Auntie Devin cook dinner!! He was such a good boy!!!

1st Sleepover - Auntie Devin's House

On January 27th, 2013 - Emerson had his first sleepover in which he stayed with his Auntie Devin at her house.  They all had an amazing time and to our surprise Emerson slept as if he was at home.  His cousins absolutely loved playing with Emerson all night.  Auntie Devin had a dance session with the kids.  Will tried to tickle Emerson.  He slept with Auntie Devin that night, poor Uncle Bob got kicked out of bed to the couch.

1st Laugh

On January 22, 2013 - Emerson had his first real laugh.  Please do not mind the video.  Chuck was home alone and couldn't setup a good shot.  The most important thing is the sounds anyways.

Emerson's Tent!!

On January 18th, 2013 - We opened up Emerson's tent that Auntie Lauren and Uncle Tim got him.  He looks so small!!

Tummy Time!!

On January 18th, 2013 - We practiced tummy time!! Emerson also decided he wanted to talk to us!!

On Jan 15th, 2013 - Emerson gave me the biggest smile!! Such a Happy Boy!!

All the babies meet!

On January 12th, 2013 - Uncle Wayne and Auntie Lexie hosted their first annual Christmas Dinner.  All the babies finally got to meet for the first time that night!  It was such a wonderful time!! I think it was the first time any of us has eating at a table with all of us together.  Usually it is around a camp fire!!  Uncle Wayne and Auntie Lexie got all the babies a name puzzle for xmas.  Super cute!!

3 Month Pictures

On January 10th, 2013 - Emerson turned 3 months.  He is now 15 lb 2 oz, 24 1/2 inches long and 40 cm head size.

Daddy and Emerson Day

On January 4th, 2013 - Daddy and Emerson spent their first day alone together!! Chuck was very nervous to have him all to himself!  He was so cute he asked me a bunch of questions to make sure that he would be doing everything how Emerson liked.  They had a great day together!!  Needless to say Chuck realized that day how tough it really is to be a stay at home mom.  He told Devin that night, that she is an amazing mom and it is really tough work!!

On January 3rd, 2013 - 1st time Emerson fell asleep when swaying back and forth in daddy's arms.

1st New Years Eve

On December 31st, 2012 - Emerson celebrated his 1st New Years Eve.  Grandma Cookie and Grandpa Gary came over to our house to celebrate.  We made lots of small appetizers and then ate pizza for dinner.  Grandma and grandpa ended up going home around 9:30pm since his back was hurting.  Plus Emerson was still sick and he was having trouble falling asleep with everyone there.  I think Emerson is like his father, he's got FEARMO!! "Fear of Missing Out!"  Once everyone left he was out in 5 minutes.  Chuck and I ended up going to bed at 10:30 pm since we were starting to get sick as well.  So not a very good New Years at the Jenks household.  Hopefully next year is better!!

1st Visit to the ER

On December 26th, 2012 - Emerson went to the Emergency Room!! I woke up around 11 pm and noticed that Emerson wasn't sounding right.  I took his temp and it was 102.5.  I called the hospital and they said to give him liquid Tylenol.  We still had some left over from when we had to give it to him when he was a couple days old.  So I gave it to him to see if it would knock the temp down.  It knocked it down to 101.5.  I called our pediatrician and he said given how young he is he recommmended bringing him to the ER.  So we got to the ER around 12:30 am.  The hospital checked us in fast and looked over Emerson pretty fast as well.  We sat in the waiting room for about a half hour and then they gave us a room in the ER.  We then waited 3 hours to see a doctor.  The doctor came in for 5 minutes and said "Ok we are going to swab him for the flu and give him a chest xray".  Then we waited another hour before those things.  Once the xray and swab was done.  We waited another hour for the results. Emerson ended up testing positive for the flu.  The lungs were clear which was a good thing.  It then took another hour for them to check us out of the ER.  My dad ended up having to come up to the hospital because Chuck had to go home to get ready for work.  We were at the emergency room from 12:30 am until 7:00 am!!! It was a crazy long night.  Everytime at the ER we got our little guy to sleep someone would come in and wake him up.  I thought that his schedule of sleeping was going to be all crazy, but turns out it went right back to normal the next day!!   

They ran out of boy gowns so he got a girl gown! Pink Elephants!!

1st Christmas

On December 25th, 2012 - It was Emerson's first Christmas!! We celebrated with my dad, Uncle and Aunt Gina at Uncle's house.  My mom ended up getting the stomach flu on Christmas Eve so we missed seeing her on Christmas.  We then went to Auntie Devin's house in the afternoon and evening to celebrate Christmas with Auntie Devin, Uncle Bob, Will, Ben, Sydney, JuJu, Auntie Krissy, Uncle Kyle, Evan and Molly.  Uncle Bob's parents also came by to celebrate and eat dinner with us.  Emerson was very delightful for Christmas.  All smiles!! He really couldn't do much for Christmas this year but got some amazing gifts!!!
