On November 18th, 2013 - We had a lazy Sunday!! Both the boys were exhausted and took a nap.

1 Month Dr Appointment

On November 14th, 2012 - Emerson went to the pediatrician Dr. DuMais and had his one month appointment.  They weighed him & measured him.  His 1 month readings were 10 lbs 5 oz, 22 1/2 length.  He was measuring to be a big boy!! He also got his first shot which was Hepatitis B.

Grandpa and Emerson bonding

On November 11th, 2013 - Emerson and Grandpa bonded.  Grandpa fed Emerson his for the first time!

1 Month Pictures

On November 10, 2012 - I took Emerson's 1 Month Pictures. He is now 10 lb 14.5 oz, 22 1/2 inches long and 37.5 cm head size.

On November 5th, 2012 - Emerson tried to do some tummy time.  He wasn't really thrilled about the experience!

1st Halloween

On October 31st, 2012 - This was the first Halloween for Emerson.  Chuck and I decided that Emerson was going to be Cookie Monster since his daddy loves to eat cookies.  We also dressed up as well with T-shirts that said Milk (my shirt) & Cookies (Chuck's shirt).  I had fun taking Emerson's first pictures!!

Announcing Emerson Louis Jenks

I finally got the Announcement card completed!!  We are proud to announce the arrival of our son Emerson Louis Jenks.

Emerson's First Walk

On October 25th, 2012 - Emerson and I embarked on our first walk.  Needless to say it was kind of a disaster.  It was beautiful outside but the wind was ridiculous.  I covered him up with a blanket but the wind kept blowing it off and us around.  We only made it a block and I had to run home because he was so upset.

Follow-up Ear Appt

On October 22nd, 2012 - We went to Hinsdale Hospital for our follow-up hearing test.  We got to see how they administered the hearing test for the first time.  They do two tests when checking hearing in infants.  The first one is called Otoacoustic Emission which measures the inner ear and the second is called Auditory brainstem response (ABR) which test the neurological function of the ear.  We were told not to worry as most infants will pass this test.  When we went Emerson did not pass this test.  The Otoacoustic Emission test was coming back that there was fluid in the ear.  We were told that we needed to follow-up again a month from now.  Again we were told not to worry as a majority of babies pass the month test. 

Emerson's First Bath

On October 17th, 2012 - Chuck and I gave Emerson by ourselves.  He absolutely loves the water!!!
